Owed

Frequently asked questions

Owed helps you find open class-action settlements for the kinds of brands and services you've used. Answer five quick questions about where you've shopped, banked and subscribed, and get a checklist of where to look and which claims to start with. Owed isn't a law firm and doesn't file claims for you; you file on each settlement's official claim form.

What is Owed?

A way to find open class-action settlements that may fit you, based on where you've shopped, banked and subscribed. The free checklist on this site shows where to look; Owed Pro lists matching settlements with their deadlines and links to the official claim forms.

Does Owed file claims for me?

No. Owed shows open settlements that may fit you, with the deadline and the official claim form. You file the claim yourself.

Is this legal advice?

No. Owed isn't a law firm. Each settlement's administrator decides who is eligible, and each case sets its own payout. For a question about your rights in a specific case, read the official notice or ask a lawyer.

Will I receive money?

Owed can't promise that. Being in a class doesn't guarantee a payment: the administrator reviews each claim, and the amount depends on the case and how many valid claims are filed.

What will Owed ask me?

Where you've shopped, banked and subscribed, whether you've had data breach notices and whether you keep receipts. Never your SSN, bank details or home address.

Do I need receipts?

Not always. Some settlements ask for proof of purchase and others don't. If you rarely keep receipts, your checklist puts the claims that don't ask for them first.

What does Owed Pro include?

Every open settlement that fits your answers, reminders 7 days and 1 day before each one closes, and a claim tracker (filed, under review, paid). It's $39.99 a year or $6.99 a week, renewing until you cancel. See Pricing for order terms.
